If you know Active Dansa, you know Melissa Dinning. She’s been part of our studio family since the day we opened, growing up in the studio, living and breathing dance, and becoming a familiar, friendly face to students, parents, and teachers alike.

Melissa has completed her Vocational Graded Jazz exams and holds a Level 3 Diploma in Dance from SERC.

Melissa has completed her Level 4 Teaching Diploma with The British Ballet Organisation, proudly following in her teacher’s footsteps.

Melissa teaches Acro, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical and competition classes. She works in our studio full-time and is a key member of our team.

Melissa’s dance teaching journey started assisting Mariona in classes, gaining invaluable experience and building a natural connection with students of all ages. Since then, she has been leading more classes, choreographed for the studio’s mini showcase, regularly covered and assisted classes and worked one-on-one with dancers preparing for competitions and exams.

Melissa also holds her AcroDance Teacher Assistant certification and is well on her way to becoming a fully qualified AcroDance teacher. As she transitioned from student to teacher, Melissa knows our school inside out. Her dedication, passion and commitment have made her a role model to many of our younger dancers.
